Heispan AS, with the brand:  Heisplan Marine Solutions - is a company with its specialty in individual elevator design. All our Marine products are a direct result of our experience in design of special elevators over a long period of time.
All Heisplan´s marine products are designed for heavy-duty ship environments and for the specific needs of shipyards and ship-owners, as well as the requirements of IMO and classification societies. (Such as DNV). Heisplan Marine Solutions provides smooth and eco-efficient lifts for all kinds of ships and offshore units.


Some features of Heisplan Marine Solution elevators are:

  •  Designed for hard weather conditions.
  • Can withstand dynamic movements, chocks and vibrations
  •  Can operate in fairly heavy seas: rolling ±10° period 10s, pitching ±5° period 7s
  •  Meets the requirements of most classification societies (ABS, DNV, Lloyds, etc.)
  • A variety of sizes of automatic sliding doors with fire rating: A0, A15 or A60 type approved.

 


Our product line:

 

Personnel elevator for offshore crew / personnel (Heisplan Marine CP)

HEISPLAN’s crew and personnel lifts for ship and offshore units - have a rated load range from  300kg / 4 persons and in steps up to 3200 kg. They have a speed of up to 1.0m/s (60m/min).                They can handle up to 180 starts per hour.  The lifts can be designed for any type of environment, from pure person transportation to crew / goods lifts.  The imagination is the only limit.

 

Heavy-duty service lifts for ships and offshore units. (Heisplan Marine HD)

HEISPLAN’s heavy-duty service lifts are for transporting a ship’s provisions and stores, including transport of people. These lifts are specially designed for transport of pallets and fork-lifts. Design includes stainless-steel cladding and heavy duty teardrop floor plate.
HEISPLAN’s heavy-duty service lifts have a rated load of up to 5,000kg, and a speed of up to 0.5m/s.

 

Heavy-duty goods lift for ships and offshore units. (Heisplan Marine GL)

HEISPLAN’s heavy-duty goods lifts are also for transporting a ship’s provisions and stores. But here without the possibility of the transportation of people. A more “price-friendly” solution where the transport of goods are in focus. As the service lifts, also the goods lifts are specially designed for transport of pallets and fork-lifts. Design includes stainless-steel cladding and heavy duty floor plate.
HEISPLAN’s goods lifts have a rated load of up to 10,000kg, and a speed of 0.15m/s, and are built according to the machinery directive.

 

Special customized marine elevators (Heisplan Marine Special)

The Marine Mini:
In the effort of finding solutions for installation of elevators in existing ships, Heisplan has developed a MARINE MINI solution. With this lift you can transport 8 people / 630 kg, with no need for a deep pit under the lift! The design are approved by NMD and DNV and are currently being used on older ferries that are in need of upgrades to fulfill the demand of accessibility for all passengers.

The heavy goods lift: 
Intended for heavy use, HEISPLAN lifts for offshore applications ensure efficient transportation of people and goods on-board a vessel or oil rigs / platforms. Innovative solutions help save space and increase efficiency of operations. HEISPLAN provides customized elevators for the most demanding conditions and purposes. We also provide the Rack and Pinion elevators.

Rack and Pinion elevators for ships and offshore units.  (Heisplan GEDA R&P)

HEISPLAN, in cooperation with GEDA, are proud to offer the rack and pinion elevator for ships and offshore units. This lift type has trough many years proven to be a very good option for the hard environment on the Semi Submersible Oilrigs, and similar installations.
We are with the GEDA equipment able to offer refurbishments of the old and worn derrick and column elevators, as well as brand new installations on ships and oil rigs.

 

Dumbwaiters for ships and offshore units. (Heisplan Marine DW)

HEISPLAN’s Marine dumbwaiters for offshore vessels and platforms have a rated load of between              5 and 100kg. They are designed for the transportation of food or small goods. They apply with most classification societies, and are specially designed for marine purpose. Can be designed for all types of use, from the fancy lift in the open restaurant, to the rough lift for goods and dirty dishes.

Heisplan Marine MRL (Machine room less elevators for marine solutions).

Heisplan Marine Solutions MRL elevator will be an ideal solution for the offshore industry. No machine room will be needed - all the hoisting equipment is located inside the shaft. Compared with conventional elevators, Heisplan Marine MRL elevators offer:

  • Weight savings of about 10%
  • Up to 50% energy savings
  • Big reduction in noise level
  •  Gearless direct acting machine.

Heisplan can offer a regular preventive maintenance plan, individually designed for each client / lift type.
Further we are for the standard personnel elevators using the ISO 8383, DNV,s rules for certification of lifts on ships and offshore units, and the EN-81-1 and 2 as directory for testing and re-certifications of all personnel elevators (elevators for transport of people).

We work after the following recommended scheme:
For personnel elevators hung by steel ropes or by hydraulic systems:

 

  •  Service and safety inspections at least every 12 months. (visual inspections)
  • Load test every 1-4 years. (incl. visual check and testing)
  • Re-Certification every 1-4 years. (or according to flag authorities demands)
  • Perform thorough training and instructions for the ship/platforms own maintenance personnel in order to have the best possible work conditions for the elevators.

For rack and pinion elevators:

  •  Service and safety inspections at least every 12 months. (visual inspections, according to manufacturers demands)
  • Load test and fall test at least once every year. (incl. visual check and testing, according to manufacturers demands)
  • Re-Certification every year. (or according to flag authorities and manufacturers demands)
  • Perform thorough training and instructions for the ship/platforms own maintenance personnel in order to have the best possible work conditions for the elevators.

For pure goods elevators and dumbwaiters:

  • Service and safety inspections at least every 12 months. (visual inspections)
  • Load test at least every 4 years. (incl. visual check and testing)
  • Re-Certification if needed. (according to each flag authorities demands)
  • Perform thorough training and instructions for the ship/platforms own maintenance personnel in order to have the best possible work conditions for the elevators.


Spare parts and competence:
Heisplan has by in-house expertise and trough a very extensive network, access to spare parts for most all types of lifts. And, through our more than 30 years of experience we have grown a competence and a network that in most cases will bring the solution for most of the problems you will ever experience with your lift.

 

 

Other Inspection programs available from our engineering department are:

 

FAT   (Factory Acceptance Testing)

Before the products are leaving the factory, we offer our clients to contract us for performing a FAT (Factory Acceptence Test) to secure that the product fulfills the requirements in the contract, requirements of the applicable standards as well as regulations from the class society.

 

UAT (User Acceptance Testing) / OAT (Operational Acceptance Testing)

Before the ordered and installed products are accepted for use, we offer to perform the UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and/or the OAT (Operational Acceptance Testing) on behalf of our clients.

We will then perform an inspection and thorough test to assure that the elevators fulfill all requirements in the contract and the rules according to the required standards and demands from the Class society, as well as the correct standard of craftsmanship of the installation work itself.

This is testing performed on sight when products are completely installed and ready for use.
